Looks like the mystery of who allegedly bit Beyonce may be solved.

Two sources tell ET that it was actress Sanaa Lathan who playfully bit Beyonce at an after-party last December following JAY-Z's concert. One source says that they don't believe it was malicious or meant to be mean -- though it caught Beyonce completely off guard -- and she didn't like it.

Lathan, who's best known for her role in 2000's Love & Basketball, previously denied this accusation after Tiffany Haddish told GQ that an unnamed actress allegedly bit Beyonce in the face at the party where the Girls Trip star and the "Formation" singer met and took a selfie together.

"Y’all are funny," Lathan tweeted on Monday. "Under no circumstances did I bite Beyonce and if I did it would’ve been a love bite."

ET has reached out to Lathan's rep for comment.

In the April issue of GQ, Haddish claimed that Beyonce stopped her from getting into a fight with the unnamed actress.

“There was this actress there, that's just, like, doing the mostest," Haddish said. “She bit Beyonce in the face.”

“So Beyonce stormed away, went up to JAY-Z, and was like, ‘Jay! Come here! This b**ch...’ and snatched him," she continued. "They went to the back of the room. I was like, ‘What just happened?’ And Beyonce's friend walked up and was like, ‘Can you believe this b**ch just bit Beyonce?’”

Haddish said she continued to run into the actress at the party, and at one point, the woman told her to stop dancing. Eventually, the comedian says she told Beyonce that she was going "to beat somebody a** at [her] party -- until Beyonce calmed her down.

“Beyonce's at the bar, so I said to Beyonce, ‘Did she really bite you?’" Haddish said. "She was like, ‘Yeah.’ I was like, ‘She gonna get her a** beat tonight.’ She was like, ‘Tiffany, no. Don't do that. ... She not like that all the time. Just chill.’”
