Kyle Richards Shows Support to Morgan Wade Amid Her Double Mastectomy Recovery

Richards took to Wade's Instagram story to send her support.

Country music sensation Morgan Wade, 29, is opening up about her ongoing journey of adjustment four months after undergoing a double mastectomy followed by breast reconstruction surgery last November.

In an Instagram post on Sunday, Wade, known for hits like "Wilder Days," shared a look into her recovery process and the decision-making behind her surgery. Revealing a familial history of breast cancer and a genetic mutation in her RAD51D gene, Wade opted for a proactive approach to minimize risks.

"I haven't talked much about my post-surgery recovery... I just said take it all," Wade wrote, reflecting on her decision to undergo the procedure as a preventative measure. She expressed contentment with her implants while acknowledging the challenges of accepting the changes to her body.

"I'm still adjusting to how different my body looks – change is never easy – but this was worth it," she wrote, adding she has zero regrets and is "extremely happy with the choice [she] made."

"I am blessed God got me through this and has allowed me to heal fast and I look forward to a healthy long life Lord willing," she added.

In the comments section, close friend Kyle Richards expressed her support for Wade with a heartfelt "❤️💪🏼," while Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause chimed in with "❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹🙏🏼glad you've had a safe recovery!"

Looking ahead, the ACM Award nominee plans to undergo further preventative measures, including an egg retrieval process followed by a hysterectomy and oophorectomy. Wade thanked her fans for their unwavering support and expressed eagerness to return to touring.

Despite the hurdles, Wade shared positive updates on her physical recovery, noting her return to powerlifting, running and other exercises since January. She celebrated milestones like doing push-ups, pull-ups and receiving massages again after restrictions during her recovery period.

Wade's decision to undergo a double mastectomy was first disclosed last May, with the musician expressing frustration over potential limitations to her workout routine. However, her recent updates highlight her resilience and determination to embrace her new reality while pursuing her passion for music.
