Jimmy Fallon and his finger have been through a lot this year.

The Tonight Show host was on the SiriusXM show, The Bill Carter Interview, on Monday and was asked about his injured finger, which was practically torn off in an accident earlier this summer.

"I don't feel my ring finger and I don’t feel my pinky finger right now," the 41-year-old Saturday Night Live alum told Carter. "My doctor said six months is when I'll probably get my feeling back."

The gruesome injury happened when Fallon tripped and caught his ring on a desk countertop. He thought he had broken his finger but later learned that it was something called "ring avulsion" or "de-gloving," (terms he says you shouldn't Google) making it look lifeless. Now that Fallon is going through physical therapy, his finger is back from the dead -- so to speak.

"It was a dead finger," joked Fallon. "This is a resurrected finger. It's a Jesus finger. They call it the Jesus finger. Jeezus."

This was not the only injury Fallon suffered this summer. The talk show host continued his unfortunate series of accidents when he chipped his tooth about two months after the finger mishap.

Fallon has been keeping a record of his injuries on social media. He took to Twitter after his finger accident, saying, "Tweeting with one hand."

"Chipped front tooth trying to open tube of scar tissue repair gel for recovering finger injury," he wrote on Instagram. "Thank you Dr. Jobe DDS! #BestSummerEver Brand new Tonight Show tonight!"
