Security around Lamar Odom is now extra tight, as his ex, 31-year-old reality star Khloe Kardashian, remains by his side.

The 35-year-old former basketball star is currently at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, where he remains in critical condition after being found unconscious at the Love Ranch brothel in Crystal, Nevada, on Tuesday. The hospital property is being well-patrolled and thoroughly secured, a source tells ET, with security guards riding on bikes, police officers driving in marked and unmarked cars, and security guards walking all over the grounds on foot.

Security has definitely been beefed up as compared to just one day earlier, with nearly all entrances to the hospital being manned by a uniformed security guard. A Kardashian bodyguard was also spotted coming and going several times from the hospital's main entrance to the trauma center, which is currently being barricaded off at its back entrance.

Almost the entire Kardashian-Jenner clan -- Khloe, Kim, Kourtney, Kylie, and Kris -- has been spotted in Vegas to support Lamar. On Thursday, all but Khloe was spotted leaving on a private plane.

"Khloe is absolutely devastated and beyond upset," a source tells ET. "She has not left Lamar's bedside since she arrived in Las Vegas."

"Khloe is making the decisions on the future of Lamar's outcome," the source adds. "She is the only one that has the legal ability to do that."

Although Khloe filed for divorce from Lamar Odom in December 2013, they are not officially divorced. Court records show that although the judgment package was filed and received on July 17 -- and both Khloe and Lamar signed the legal documents that would officially end their marriage -- their case has not been finalized, and the official status of their divorce is still pending.

"If they have a medical directive, it would be whoever is assigned to his medical decisions [but] if there is no medical directive, Khloe may have the ability to make decisions on his behalf until the stipulation is signed by the judge," celebrity divorce attorney Vikki Ziegler previously told ET. "There may be a fight between Lamar's family and her as it relates to what should happen to him medically, and that may become a problem."

On Wednesday, ET was told that Lamar was placed into a medically induced coma and on dialysis, after starting to experience kidney failure. But, according to our source, there have been a few encouraging moments since then, including when he briefly fluttered open his eyes, and, at one point, Kim believed he squeezed her hand.

Lamar's ex-girlfriend, Liza Morales, and their two children, Destiny and Lamar Jr., have flown in from New York City to be beside the NBA star as well. His father, Joe, his aunt, JaNean, and his former Laker teammate, Kobe Bryant, have also been spotted at the hospital.

The Kardashian family "still loves Lamar," a source tells ET, despite his and Khloe's split almost two years ago. The source says that the family, especially Kris, has "a soft spot" for the former Khloe & Lamar star, and allegedly tried to get him help.

"Lamar is not a bad person, he just has very bad demons," the source says, referring to speculation that Odom had allegedly been facing substance abuse problems in recent years. "When Lamar is good, he's good. But when he's bad, there's no way of getting any worse."

"They are devastated," another source close to the family tells ET about the Kardashians' current state of mind. "They have tried so hard to help Lamar with his issues and it breaks their hearts that he could lose this battle. The entire family is pulling for Lamar to make it through this."
