Katherine Jenkins Reveals 'Dancing' Alter Ego

After a successful Dancing with the Stars premiere night, Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas had another great night on Monday, which they attributed to Jenkins unraveling her alter ego, "Kathraun"

"'Katherine' [is] the classical singer and 'Kathraun' [is] the 'Welch Wiggler,'" Ballas said of his dancing partner after they danced the jive, for which they received an episode-high 26 points.

"I felt like I was having an out-of-body experience," Jenkins said of the highly scored dance. "My body was giving it. I have no idea what it looked like or how I did."

While Jenkins was able to wow the judges, Gladys Knight didn't have quite the success with the judges on Monday night and tallied the second lowest scored with 19 points.

"It's an opinion. That's all it is," Knight said of the low score, focusing on Judge Len's lowest delivered score of five points. "I cannot learn in five days what [he has] been doing all [his] life…You need to judge it fairly and take into consideration all the things that we have to."

Although she seemed a bit maddened by Len's comments, she still reserved some kind words for him. "I still respect him and his comments—all of the judges I do," the 67-year-old singer said.
