Oscars Flashback '11: J-Law's Philly Cheesesteak

While she didn't win any major awards her first time around, Jennifer Lawrence experienced her first awards circuit in 2011 for Winter's Bone, which earned her SAG, Golden Globe, and Oscar nominations. Now characteristic of the quirky, frivolous actress we've come to know, she was having a blast on the Oscars red carpet just being herself.

At 20 years and 163 days, Lawrence was the third-youngest nominee for Best Lead Actress (2013 nominee Quvenzhané Wallis is the youngest at 9 years, 135 days) and would have become the youngest recipient of the award in history had she been awarded her first Oscar that night.

Although she didn't make history that night, she contributed enough to the Oscars that night by simply being her fun, entertaining self on the red carpet with ET's Mark Steines and Nancy O'Dell.

After receiving a compliment from Mrs. O'Dell on her fit figure, Lawrence reveals what she had just had for lunch and also reiterates her feelings about skinny women in Hollywood.

"That feels great 'cause I just ate a Philly cheesesteak and I was kind of worried about it," she says. "...I think that people are built the way that they're built. There's that Kate Moss quote that's like 'Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels' and...I can name a lot of things that taste better than skinny feels: bread, potatoes...a Philly cheesesteak and fries."

As for the reason that Lawrence was standing on the red carpet in the first place, the American Hustle actress says the whole awards show experience has been thrilling.

"It's been surreal and really incredible," she says. "I've got my family here with me, and...before for the Globes and everything I didn't have my family here yet and it was just all work and lately...it's just been play and we've been partying and hanging out and then we're like, 'Oh, right. We're going to be late for the Oscars.'"

In 2013, Lawrence became the second-youngest female to win Best Lead Actress for her performance in David O'Russell's Silver Linings Playbook. This year, Jennifer is shortlisted to potentially take home even more Oscar gold in the Supporting Role category, for sharing the screen with Bradley Cooper, Jeremy Renner, and Amy Adams in another O'Russell critical darling, American Hustle. Lawrence has already taken home a Golden Globe for the role.
