Ellen DeGeneres: I'm Hosting the Oscars!
The 2014 Oscars will have another comedic host! Following after Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane's 2013 hosting stint, Ellen DeGeneres has confirmed she will be taking the stage this year.
The 55-year-old daytime talk-show host tweeted on Friday, Aug. 2:
It's official: I'm hosting the #Oscars! I'd like to thank @TheAcademy, my wife Portia and, oh dear, there goes the orchestra.

This will be DeGeneres' second time hosting the Oscars (she also hosted in 2007). "I am so excited to be hosting the Oscars for the second time. You know what they say - the third time's the charm," DeGeneres said in a statement.
She follows behind a slew of famous faces to take on the role including Billy Crystal, Jon Stewart, Johnny Carson, Whoopi Goldberg, James Franco and Anne Hathaway (to name a few). The 86th Academy Awards will air March 2, 2014.
