MTV cameras caught the "Problem" singer holding hands with Big Sean while backstage at Sunday night's MTV Video Music Awards. The 26-year-old hip-hop artist is seen helping the 21-year-old along as she stumbles a bit.

Before fueling relationship rumors with Big Sean thanks to their love lock, Grande was up and down on the VMA stage. She opened the show with her song "Break Free" before joining Jessie J and Nicki Minaj for their summer hit "Bang Bang."
Later in the night, she accepted the award for Best Pop Video for her song "Problem."

Big Sean was engaged to Glee gal Naya Rivera but broke it off in April. Rivera married her longtime friend Ryan Dorsey three months later.
Grande was dating Jai Brooks for the past two years and was also romantically connected to The Wanted's Nathan Sykes.
