Cody Simpson is stepping up to defend girlfriend Gigi Hadid after a gossip site claimed that the model was spotted snorting cocaine in a Snapchat video.
"She's the best in the world," the 18-year-old singer told ET at the Kids' Choice Awards Saturday. "She would never touch anything illegal, she would never do anything like that behind closed doors. I know her back to front and she's just the sweetest thing."

Gossip site OCEANUP first reported the claims, after a Snapchat video sent by Simpson appeared to show the 19-year-old model snorting something off of a table at a Victoria’s Secret event in Miami.
Hadid immediately responded to the allegations on Twitter, vehemently denying any drug use or wrongdoing.
"If u actually watch the video there is nothing on the counter .5 sec's before you see that image... It's not only impossible but insane to me," the model tweeted. "Besides for doing the supposed in general, I'd be an idiot to do that at a WORK EVENT in front of hundreds of people/press. I'm insulted."
