Whitney Houston won her fair share of Grammys over the years but 1994 was by far her biggest year at an awards show. Winning three Grammys that year, that year was arguably the apex of her career.
While she had twice won the Best Female Pop Vocal Performance award, which she also won that year, Houston's success in the music industry was realized in utmost form when she won both Album of the Year (The Bodyguard soundtrack) and Record of the Year ("I Will Always Love You").
"I think I'm more nervous than I've ever been in my whole career," she says in her press conference after winning the hallowed awards. "I don't know why...This is just a very intense night, probably a round-off for the whole '93-'94 year for me, so it's very special; it really is."
With her baby daughter, Bobbi Kristina, about to celebrate her first birthday a few days later, Houston was asked what she thought her daughter would think of her mother's accomplishments one day.
