Billy Crystal Conjures New Oscar Tricks

Academy Awards mainstay host Billy Crystal is suiting up for his highly anticipated return for Hollywood's biggest night, and Oscars.com has a behind-the-scenes featurette in which the veteran star hints at this year's Oscar theme and reflects upon the show with his trademark humor.

"A magician never tells his tricks," says Crystal. "Whatever it will be, we'll have a good time."

Crystal stepped in at the eleventh hour to take on the responsibilities from the departing Eddie Murphy. The star of such hits as When Harry Met Sally, City Slickers and Analyze This has the distinct honor of hosting the Academy Awards eight times, second only to Bob Hope's 18.

"The thing that's special about the Oscars is it's the granddaddy of all the [awards] shows," says Crystal. "It's a long history I have with this great show, and I don't even know how to put it into words how much it means to me to be back and be trusted with this show again."

The 84th Academy Awards will be presented on Sunday, February 26, at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood and Highland Center, televised live on ABC.
