The former couple was photographed hanging out at a screening of Ash Is Purest White (Jiang Hu Er Nv) at the Cannes Film Festival in France on Friday, just one day after they were spotted kissing at a nightclub party.
A fan snapped the pair's apparent movie date just hours after Hadid walked the red carpet in a gorgeous blush gown specially designed by Dior creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri. The Weeknd, meanwhile, appeared to address rumors surrounding his rekindled romance with Hadid in an Instagram shot from inside the screening. "Honestly just tryna watch movies," he captioned the pic.
Hadid, 21, and The Weeknd, 28, broke up in November 2016 after dating for a year and a half. The "Starboy" singer later moved on with Selena Gomez, but that romance ended last fall.
In an interview with Teen Vogue in February 2017, Hadid opened up about her breakup from The Weeknd, and revealed that she still has warm feelings for him.
"I'll always respect him, and I'll always love him," she said. "Sometimes you want to be sad about it or handle it differently, but at the end of the day, you never want to burn a bridge that you've fought so hard to build."
