ET exclusively debuts a first look from Wednesday's milestone episode.
The Blacklist is hitting a milestone.
NBC's action thriller airs its landmark 100th episode on Wednesday, featuring guest star Nathan Lane, and only ET has the exclusive sneak peek from Lane's first meeting with star James Spader.
In the episode, titled "Abraham Stern," Red (Spader) goes on the hunt for a legendary treasure, he draws the attention of Abraham Stern (Lane), a cunning manipulator who has devoted his life -- and the lives of many innocents -- to recovering the fortune that is his birthright.
In ET's first look, Red meets Abraham in a large nondescript room with a slew of Abraham's bodyguards with their guns at the ready in case things go awry with their initial meeting.
"Once the professor decodes the cipher, what guarantee do I have you won't double-cross me?" Abraham asks Red.
"You seem quite capable of guaranteeing your own safety," Red says sardonically, alluding to the faceless men behind Abraham.
When Red suggests that he take 50 percent of Abraham's inheritance, the negotiation between the two powerful men gets... interesting. Watch the exclusive clip below.
The Blacklist airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
