Brooke Shields is in “vacation mode” and loving every minute of it!
The 52-year-old actress took to Instagram over the weekend to share some pictures of her getaway to a gorgeous tropical locale, as well as her stunning bikini bod!
Shields posted front and back shots of her “bikini life in paradise ?,” flaunting a black-and-white geometric suit that showed off her toned tummy, arms and legs.
She also posted a pic of her visit to “another blue lagoon” -- a reference to her starring role in the 1980 film of the same name -- donning a royal blue bikini as she waded through crystal-clear waters.
Shields is clearly enjoying her beachside getaway, also sharing a video of an “afternoon joyride” on a jet ski, as well as a “vacation mode” pic of her enjoying the view from a surfside swimming pool.
The actress and mother of two, who is currently guest-starring on Jane the Virgin, opened up to Health magazine back in December about her decision to flaunt her bikini bod in skimpy swimsuits after turning 50.
"I always wear bathing suits that cover everything, the bottoms in particular -- and my older daughter said, ‘You know what? You cannot wear that bottom. It goes all the way under your butt and [makes it look] so much bigger,'" Shields noted. "So she finds me a new bathing suit, where that whole little shelf was out, and I was horrified, but my husband said, ‘That bathing suit looks great. Rowan’s right. If you show a little bit more, it’s actually more flattering.’”
“So, I had to learn from her,” she added. “She said, ‘Mom, face it, you’ve got a great butt.'"
The Suddenly Susan star said she's "never been skinny," but appreciates her athletic build. "I always had body doubles in movies, so I didn’t have any stress, because I knew I was gonna get some gorgeous-looking body to be my double," she confessed. "Since I’ve turned 50, there’s been more focus on my body than ever."
