Coming on the heels of New York State's legalization of gay marriage, fashion designer Michael Kors is reportedly going to marry his longtime partner, Lance LePere.

The couple was spotted picking up a marriage license Wednesday and a rep for Kors confirmed the news to the New York Post. The two have known each other since 1990, when LePere joined the designer's company as an intern.

In a statement to the newspaper, the "Project Runway" judge said he is looking forward to the wedding, but indicated the event will not be an over-the-top bash. "Lance and I are very excited to finally be able to have the opportunity to marry in our home state after many years together. We have no plans for a major party, but we will be getting married privately."
