First Lady (and birthday girl) Michelle Obama set the Twittersphere into a frenzy on Thursday when she debuted a brand-new fringe via her newly launched Twitter account @Flotus.

The photo shows a youthful-looking Mrs. Obama sporting a shoulder-length bob with eye-level bangs while meeting with the Inaugural citizen co-chair, David Hall, to discuss Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, which kicks off January 21.
Obama's new look is a departure from The First Lady's preferred ponytails and side-parted bobs.
