Katy Perry Is the New Face of CoverGirl

Katy Perry just announced on Twitter that she's the newest face of CoverGirl!

"BEAUTIFUL news to share w/you all. Today is my 1st day as a @COVERGIRL! See what happens when you let the light in? #COVERGIRLKATY," she tweeted.

Interestingly enough, Katy has made headlines for actually toning down her look while promoting her new album Prism, and in her first ad, she highlights a flawless complexion with very natural-looking eye makeup. To complete the look, she wears CoverGirl Clean Glow blush in Roses and CoverGirl LipPerfection in Euphoria, a pretty purple-tinted lipstick.

"In addition to music, I’ve always considered makeup to be a powerful creative avenue of self-expression,” she said in a statement. “I’m honored to partner with CoverGirl and share more colors and textures of my approach to beauty to inspire my audience.”

Katy's ads are set to debut in Spring 2014.
