Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo also got engaged late last year and, according to Us magazine, Vanessa's ring is a platinum, Asscher cut diamond with trapezoids on the side from designer Bader & Garrin. The reported price of the ring, $125,000.

Jessica Simpson got engaged to former NFL pro Eric Johnson in November and stepped out wearing a Neil Lane three-stone ring that features a central ruby flanked by two diamonds.

Natalie Portman's ring was designed by jeweler Jamie Wolf -- who has also made accessories for both Jessica Alba and Julia Roberts -- with the help of her fiance Benjamin Millepied. Jamie told InStyle that he and Ben had the 'Black Swan' actress' vegan ideals in mind when they made the ring, disclosing to the magazine that her stone is an old mine cut diamond, and the pave diamonds are certified as conflict-free, meaning no one was hurt or treated unfairly in the mining of the diamonds. The platinum is also from recycled metal.
"Ben was exceptionally thoughtful and dedicated and patient to make sure we had everything right,” Jamie told InStyle.

Country crooner LeAnn Rimes and actor Eddie Cibrian got engaged late last year. LeAnn was spotted wearing a custom 5-carat oval diamond set in platinum. The ring is also said to feature single cut pave and tiny rose cut diamonds set in rose gold fleur-de-lis that are connected to the band.
The designer of the ring and childhood friend to Eddie told People.com of the jewelry, "Le[Ann]'s participation in the design was solely regarding the Fleur de Lis. She had her heart set on having that incorporated in the ring. Other than that, Eddie and I sat down multiple times and worked on the rest of the details." The couple wed on April 22, 2011 at a private home in California.

On December 28, 2010, Reese Witherspoon and her beau Jim Toth announced their engagement. According to People.com, Jim presented the actress with a 4-carat Ashoka diamond that was set on a diamond-and-platinum band. The couple was married on March 26, 2011 in Ojai, California at Libbey Ranch, Witherspoon's country estate.
