Kate Middleton's Wedding Dress Revealed

After being veiled in secrecy for weeks leading up to her wedding, the world finally got to see Kate Middleton's Royal Wedding dress. The hand-cut English lace and French Chantilly lace gown was designed by Sarah Burton at Britain's Alexander McQueen. A statement by the Palace said Kate worked closely with Sarah Burton in formulating the design and chose the dress "for the beauty of its craftsmanship and its respect for traditional workmanship and the technical construction." Kate wore a diamond "halo" tiara made by Cartier in 1936 that was presented to Queen Elizabeth II by her mother on her 18th birthday.
