'Switched At Birth: Volume 1'

ABC Family
The Story: Vanessa Marano, Katie Leclerc, Constance Marie, Lea Thompson and Lucas Grabeel star in this drama that chronicles the upheaval that two teen girls experience when they discover that they were accidentally switched at birth. Worlds collide, family bonds are tested and new romances are sparked as they start to learn that it's who they are inside that matters, not where they grew up.

Notable Bonus Features: Includes all 10 episodes plus exclusive collectible iPod skins.

'Velvet Goldmine' on Blu-ray

The Story: Christian Bale, Ewan McGregor and Jonathan Rhys Meyers bring the '70s glam-rock scene to life in this larger-than-life spectacle from writer-director Todd Haynes, now on Blu-ray. Toni Collette and Eddie Izzard in this story of a rocker who faked his own death and escaped the spotlight of the glam-rock scene and the investigative journalist on assignment to uncover the truth of the rocker's strange disappearance.

Notable Bonus Features: An all-new audio commentary with Haynes and producer Christine Vachon.

'Heavenly Creatures: The Uncut Version' on Blu-ray

The Story: Director Peter Jackson's imaginative 1994 film featuring a pre-Titanic Kate Winslet is now on Blu-ray with an uncut version! Based on a shocking true story, the true crime drama follows two young best friends (Winslet and Melanie Lynskey) who, separated by their parents due to the intensity of their relationship, devise an unthinkable deadly plot to reunite.

Notable Bonus Features: The Uncut Version features ten minutes of footage not seen in the released theatrical version.

'The Expendables: Extended Director's Cut' on Blu-ray

The Story: Sylvester Stallone's hit ensemble action thriller is back with an extended director's cut on Blu-ray! Sly leads a group of mercenaries on a suicide mission to overthrow a ruthless South American dictator in this explosive adventure featuring action heavyweights Dolph Lundgren, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Randy Couture, Steve Austin, Mickey Rourke, Terry Crews and Eric Roberts, plus cameos by Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The Story: Someone -- or something -- is out to prevent the coronation of China's first-ever Supreme Empress, and it's up to the ancient world's greatest detective, Detective Dee (Andy Lau), to solve the case with his potent mix of wisdom and martial arts prowess. Magnificently choreographed fights and stunning visuals underline this incredible Sherlock Holmes meets Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon-style mystery from Hong Kong master Hark Tsui. Binbing Li, Deng Chan, Carina Lau and Tony Leung Ka-fei also star.

'The Rocketeer 20th Anniversary Edition' on Blu-ray

The Story: Two decades before Captain America: The First Avenger, director Joe Johnston brought the comic-book character The Rocketeer to life. Now with state-of-the-art digital restoration and enhanced high definition sound, experience it as it jets off for the first time on Disney Blu-ray. Billy Campbell is the title character, test pilot Cliff Secord, who turns a top-secret jetpack into a tool to fight bad guys in 1930s Los Angeles. Jennifer Connelly is his Bettie Page-inspired love interest, and Timothy Dalton is the Hollywood screen star Neville Sinclair, a secret Nazi spy.

'Family Guy: Volume 9'

The Story: Bring the Griffins home this holiday season with this three-disc DVD set featuring 14 episodes from the hysterical eighth and ninth seasons, including the popular 150th episode. Follow unconventional dad Peter Griffin (Seth MacFarlane) as he gets up to plenty of antics with the reluctant help of his caring wife Lois (Alex Borstein), their awkward daughter Meg (Mila Kunis), dorky son Chris (Seth Green), maniacal baby Stewie (MacFarlane) and Brian, the family dog who is both a ladies man and a heavy drinker.

Notable Bonus Features: Uncensored episodes; an extended version of "And Then There Were Fewer" and never-before-seen extras.

'Fright Night'

Dreamworks
The Story: In this remake of the 1985 horror hit, a teen (Anton Yelchin) learns that his new next door neighbor (Colin Farrell) is a vampire. In order to protect his girlfriend (Imogen Poots) and single mom (Toni Collette), he seeks out help from an eccentric Las Vegas illusionist (David Tennant). Superbad star Chistopher Mintz-Plasse also stars. As remakes go, this one throws in plenty of curveballs to make it interesting and fun as both Farrell and Tennant chew up the scenery with their entertaining roles.

Notable Bonus Features: The "fang-in-cheek" mockumentary "Peter Vincent: Swim Inside My Mind"; "The Official How to Make a Funny Vampire Movie Guide"; "Squid Man: Extended and Uncut;" gag reel, trivia and more.

'Rise of the Planet of the Apes'

The Story: The Planet of the Apes franchise gets a new life with this clever, contemporary update of 1972's Conquest of the Planet of the Apes. Dedicated scientist James Franco develops a miracle cure that allows the brain to repair itself, inspired by the struggle his father (John Lithgow) endures from Alzheimer's disease. Franco tests the serum on an ape that gives birth to a young chimp named Caesar (Lord of the Rings star Andy Serkis in a mesmerizing motion-capture performance), but when the serum's side-effects result in increased intelligence, mankind soon finds a rebellion on its hands: The rise of the Planet of the Apes.

Notable Bonus Features: 11 deleted scenes; "The Genius of Andy Serkis" and "Mythology of the Apes."

'Kung Fu Panda 2'

The Story: Jack Black is back as Po the Panda alongside the vocal talents of Angelina Jolie, Seth Rogen, Lucy Liu, David Cross, Jackie Chan and Dustin Hoffman for Kung Fu Panda 2. The fun family comedy-adventure finds Po living his dream as the Dragon Warrior, protecting the Valley of Peace alongside his fellow kung fu masters, The Furious Five, when a new villain, Lord Shen (Gary Oldman), threatens to conquer China and destroy kung fu.
