Killing Them Softly
Based on the George V. Higgins novel Cogan's Trade, this gritty new mob thriller follows what happens after a couple of not-too-bright guys (Scoot McNairy and Ben Mendelsohn) decide to rob a Mafia-protected card game, causing the local criminal economy to collapse. Brad Pitt plays the enforcer hired to track them down and restore order. The film also stars Richard Jenkins, James Gandolfini, Ray Liotta and Sam Shepard.

But despite numerous problems, the family learns that they can come together by embracing the best of both worlds. Marisa Tomei and Tom Everett Scott also star as the kids' type-A helicopter parents.
