Who's the 'Scandal' Mole?! Top 5 Predictions

When #Gladiators aren't frothing at the mouth for more love scenes between Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) and President Fitzgerald Grant (Tony Goldwyn), they're speculating as to who the infamous mole could be that is wrecking havoc on their beloved characters and their country. In anticipation for Thursday night's must-see Scandal episode on ABC, here are five suspects we think could turn out to be the mole that audiences can't stop talking about.

At the beginning of season 2, Senator Edison Davis (Norm Lewis) was creeping around Olivia's apartment and place of work all the time when he was courting, and then later dating, the leading lady. Where's he been? Perhaps plotting some secret, mole-like catastrophes? He is a senator after all, and therefore has access to both powerful and dangerous people.

Some Scandal fans may see David Rosen (Joshua Malina) as a long shot but that's what this show is all about: twists! The former district attorney was a man scorned by Pope (Kerry Washington) in season 1, and nearly framed for murder in season 2. He's got motive.

If David Rosen sounds like a long shot, Vice President Sally Langston (Kate Burton) seems like the obvious choice. She's been after the presidency ever since the attempted assassination, so it would come as no surprise if she turned out to be the mole.

Harrison Wright (Columbus Short) is the most devoted "gladiator" Olivia Pope has at her firm. Yet, we still don't know too much about this character. Harrison has yet to have a prominent story-line, zero love interests (though he's very good looking) and is an altogether mystery, solely devoted to his job. It's been reported that his character will have a story arc soon enough, so could he be the mole we've been searching for?

All fans of the show know that First Lady Mellie Grant (Bellamy Young) is capable of anything, even outing her husband of his affair on national television. Knowing that she was involved in "defiance" and her disdain for Fitz's affair with Olivia, it wouldn't be much of a shocker if she turned out to be the mole.

It's unlikely that Cyrus Beene's (Jeff Perry) husband James Novak (Dan Bucatinsky) is the mole, but as mentioned, this is Scandal and anything is possible. He's already been in cahoots with David Rosen, he's married to a ruthless man and he's got a powerful media platform (especially since he just landed an on-air gig). What's holding him back from being a secret traitor?
