After nearly eight years of being on the air, the lovable paper-pushers of The Office said goodbye in NBC's two-hour series finale on May 16, 2013. Throughout the show's nine seasons, we saw familiar faces come in and out of Scranton, Pennsylvania. From Will Ferrell to Amy Adams, here are 10 of The Office's most memorable guest stars.
"I have a peanut allergy. It’s something I live with. It’s a part of me." Deangelo Vickers (Ferrell) briefly replaced Michael Scott (Steve Carell) as the man in charge for four episodes in 2011.
Before landing her role as Ann Perkins on Parks and Recreation, Rashida Jones played a love interest to Jim Halpert (John Krasinki) named Karen Filippelli. She starred in 26 episodes from 2006-2011.
James Spader played the always suave boss Robert California for 25 episodes from 2011-2012.
Amy Ryan played Michael Scott's soulmate, Holly Flax, on the series.
Kathy Bates' character Jo Bennett is the CEO of the company Sabre, who buys Dunder Mifflin in season six.
Jim Carey made a tiny cameo in the season 7 finale of The Office. He played a man applying for Michael Scott's job.
Charles Miner (Elba) was the new handsome face of season four. Miner was introduced as Michael Scott's new boss, Vice President of the Northeast Region.
Creator and star of the British Office, Ricky Gervais, made two cameos in 2011 as his character David Brent.
Amy Adams played a pretty young purse saleswoman named Katy for three episodes from 2005-2006. She is wooed by both Michael Scott and Dwight Schrute (Rainn Wilson), but it is Jim who ends up winning her affections in the end.
