After selling out venues around the world, electronic dance music artist Pretty Lights, also known as Derek Vincent Smith, is now releasing his album Color Map of the Sun. "I wanted to make pieces of music that sounded good on a 45, or record, in the back of a record store that would make me jump up and down," Derek told Westword. "I also had sort of brief moments in time, these different moments in musical history that I wanted to emulate, not just in the style, but in the recording process." Doubleback Evolution of R&B is the tenth studio album in 20 years from multi-platinum selling singer Joe. "It's that evolution of trying to evolve, but also trying to go back at the same time," Joe told The Huffington Post about his inspiration behind the album's title. "So I want to take it back and sort of evolve it and hopefully inspire a new generation to want to do that sound of music where it’s more live and organic." The album includes a few collaborations, such as a track featuring Fantasia titled Love & Sex.

The film, starring Steve Carrel, Toni Collette, Maya Rudolph, AnnaSophia Robb and Liam James, is about a teenage boy's journey of self-discovery while working at a water park during his summer break. The film opens in theaters July 5.
