New Movies on DVD & Blu-ray: January 27

It's pets against wild -- and winner takes all! Boog and Elliot are back (this time voiced by Mike Epps and Joel McHale) for more madcap adventures. This time, the head-over-hoofs Elliot's road to the altar with Giselle (Jane Krakowski) takes a detour when Mr. Weenie (Cody Cameron) is kidnapped by a group of pampered pets determined to return him to his owners. Now, the wild woodland creatures must launch a full-scale rescue mission in enemy camp: the world of domesticated pets. 'Open Season 2' also features the vocal talents of Crispin Glover and Billy Connolly.

The Disney classic is back with an all-new 45th anniversary edition, packed with hours of "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" bonus features, including an all-new, exclusive look behind the scenes of the hit Mary Poppins Broadway show. Julie Andrews is the magical nanny who turns two rowdy-but-neglected kids into angels with determination, discipline and "Just a Spoonful of Sugar." Based on the popular children's stories by P.L. Travers, the Oscar-winning film mixes music, mirth and animation for some good old-fashioned family fun.

Special features on the two-disc DVD include sing-along lyrics to the film's memorable songs, behind-the-scenes featurettes and reminiscences of the film's stars, a deleted song from the original film, the bonus short film 'The Cat That Looked at a King,' plus the brand-new featurette "Mary Poppins: From Page to Stage," with a never-before-filmed musical number performed by the original Broadway cast, downloadable as an MP3 file.

In this raw, emotional and often amusing road movie, Tim Robbins, Rachel McAdams and Michael Pena play a trio of U.S. soldiers who have just returned from Iraq. Strangers to each other, they're forced to travel cross-country due to travel-nightmare circumstances, each revealing along the way what brought them back to the States -- and what lies ahead for them.

Special features include the behind-the-scenes featurette "A Look at 'The Lucky Ones.'"

Sultry Scarlett Johansson plays an emotionally and sexually adventurous American woman in Barcelona on holiday who becomes romantically entangled with a charismatic painter (Javier Bardem) and his turbulent ex-wife (Penelope Cruz) in Woody Allen's latest international character study. The critically acclaimed film just won this year's Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy.

"The Office" star Rainn Wilson gets to live his ultimate rock star fantasy in this laugh-out-loud comedy. Wilson plays Robert "Fish" Fishman, a drummer who got a taste of the rock 'n' roll dream in the '80s as a member of the hair band Vesuvius -- until he was unceremoniously booted from the group. Cut to present day, and Fish realizes he has a shot at redemption when his nephew's high school rock band A.D.D. needs a new drummer. They reluctantly give him a chance, and soon Fish is giving them the rock 'n' roll ride of their lives!

Jam-packed special features in the "Born to Rock Edition" two-disc DVD include filmmaker and star commentary, deleted scenes, a gag reel, music video, podcasts, an MTV Film Festival Panel, six behind-the-scenes featurettes and a digital copy of the movie.

Samuel L. Jackson takes a dark turn in his new urban thriller as a stern, straight-laced LAPD cop whose vigilance crosses the line when a newlywed couple (Patrick Wilson and Kerry Washington) moves in next door. Disapproving of their interracial relationship, Jackson's persistent intrusions on the pair begin to generate a deadly tension when they decide to fight back.

Special Features include filmmaker and star commentary, deleted scenes and three behind-the-scenes featurettes: "An Open House," "Meet Your Neighbors" and "Home Sweet Home."

'Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels' director Guy Ritchie returns to form with this new Brit gangster action-comedy. This time, real estate has supplanted drugs as the biggest moneymaker in London, and criminals are its most enthusiastic entrepreneurs. Gerard Butler plays a small-time crook who thinks he can play both sides and become big time when a wealthy foreign mobster moves into London gangster Tom Wilkinson's turf. 'RocknRolla' also stars Thandie Newton, Jeremy Piven and Chris "Ludacris" Bridges.

Special features include filmmaker commentary, the behind-the-scenes featurette "Guy's Town" and a digital copy of the film, while the Blu-ray adds "Blokes, Birds and Backhanders," in which users can explore the world of 'RocknRolla.'

Edward Norton and Colin Farrell play brothers-in-law for this gritty cop thriller in which a multi-generational NYPD family finds themselves on opposite sides of a corruption scandal. When four cops are killed in an ambush, the evidence points to Farrell. Will Norton have to choose between family or the law? 'Pride & Glory' also stars Jon Voight and Noah Emmerich.
