New Movies on DVD & Blu-ray: September 8

Get into the Halloween spirit early with this creepy 1982 anthology collection from horror masters Stephen King and George Romero. Five twisted tales feature a pesky patriarch crawling out of the family plot for his Father's Day cake; a tortured couple returning from a watery grave; a deadly crate under the stairs containing a killer creature; the unfortunate victim of a meteorite's goo; and a cockroach revenge fantasy you have to see to believe. A cast including Ed Harris, Leslie Nielsen, Adrienne Barbeau, Ted Danson and King himself star.

The heartwarming 1971 Disney classic is back, fully restored and remastered. Set during World War II, Angela Lansbury plays an apprentice witch who casts a traveling spell on an ordinary bedknob, allowing young Charlie, Carrie and Paul to journey to the fantastic, animated Isle of Naboombu to find a magic spell that will save England.

Special features include "The Wizards of Special Effects," a feature detailing the film's Oscar-winning 1971 special effects, hosted by Jennifer Stone of Disney's "Wizards of Waverly Place"; and "Music Magic: The Sherman Brothers," exploring the origins of the songs in the movie, plus the ones that didn't make the cut, including the deleted song "A Step in the Right Direction."

Jason Statham is back as Chev Chelios, this time looking to retrieve his stolen heart in this out-of-control, high-octane sequel. Saddled with a battery-operated ticker that requires regular jolts of electricity in order to keep working, he reunites with Amy Smart and encounters a cast of characters played by Corey Haim, Bai Ling, Dwight Yoakam and the late David Carradine to get his heart back and wreak vengeance.

Special features include bloopers, filmmaker commentary, a behind-the-scenes making-of featurette, a digital copy of the film and more.

Step into the legendary fashion designer's inner circle: Cameras follow Valentino and his longtime business partner, Giancarlo Giammetti, for the final two years of their careers, revealing their struggle with art versus commerce as they confront the final act of a nearly 50-year career at the top of the world's most glamorous and competitive game. The film includes celebrity appearances from such stars as Gwyneth Paltrow, Claudia Schiffer, Elton John and Elizabeth Hurley.

The DVD and Blu-ray bring the viewer even deeper into the designer's elegant world of high fashion, showcasing 46 minutes of bonus material with never-before-seen footage including inside Valentino's Rome haute couture workshop, his homes around the world and his farewell haute couture show in Paris.
