New Movies on DVD & Blu-ray: September 22

Acting in more than 65 movies spanning over 50 years, Paul Newman's magnetism was almost impossible to resist. Now "The Paul Newman Tribute Collection" honors the legend with an all-new 17-disc set, featuring 13 of his acclaimed films including two-disc Special Collector's Editions of 'Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid,' 'The Hustler,' 'The Verdict' and 'The Towering Inferno,' as well as nine other films from Newman’s historic career: 'The Long, Hot Summer,' 'Rally ‘Round the Flag, Boys!,' 'From the Terrace,' 'Exodus,' 'Hemingway's Adventures of a Young Man,' 'What a Way to Go!,' 'Hombre,' 'Buffalo Bill and the Indians' and 'Quintet.' Bonus features include a 136 page soft-bound book with never-before-seen images of Paul Newman, excerpts from each film and personal quotes from the legendary star.

The interstellar cinematic adventures of Captain Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) and the Enterprise crew make the jump to Blu-ray in a five-disc set that includes all four big-screen "Star Trek: The Next Generation" adventures plus a bonus disc of exciting 'Trek' content.

'Star Trek: Generations' marks the "Next Generation" crew's first foray onto the big screen in a story involving the final escapades of James T. Kirk (William Shatner, of course) against Malcolm McDowell's villainous Soran, who is obsessed with returning to the mysterious "Nexus" energy ribbon at any cost. Humans are the invaders in this CGI-animated extravaganza featuring the voices of Luke Wilson, Evan Rachel Wood, David Cross, Dennis Quaid, Danny Glover, Mark Hamill and more. When environmental destruction forces the people of Earth to find a new home, the beautiful planet of Terra becomes a war zone in a battle for control.

For this unique fashion emergency, 'Orlando' director Sally Potter assembles a star-studded cast that includes Jude Law, Judi Dench, Steve Buscemi, John Leguizamo, Bob Balaban and Eddie Izzard. Told through a dynamic series of interviews, the film goes behind the scenes of a New York fashion show during seven days in which an accident on the catwalk turns into a murder investigation.

Alec Baldwin, Timothy Hutton, Cynthia Nixon, Emma Roberts and Rory and Kieran Culkin star in this coming-of-age indie dramedy based on director Derick Martini's true childhood experiences in 1970s Long Island. Struggling to dodge Lyme disease in his suburban neighborhood, 15-year-old Jimmy (Rory Culkin) endures his parents' crumbling marriage and a neighborhood bully as he seeks out the affections of his childhood friend (Roberts).

Special features include filmmaker commentary, deleted scenes and an alternate ending.

It's 'Paul Blart: Mall Cop' meets 'Taxi Driver' as Seth Rogen plays Ronnie Barnhardt, the seriously deluded, power-mad head of mall security. Ronnie dreams of the day when he can move on to bigger and better things and real police work. When the mall is struck by a flasher, Ronnie takes action in hopes that solving the case will earn him a spot at the police academy and the love of his dream girl at the makeup counter, Brandi (Anna Faris). This dark comedy also stars Michael Pena and Ray Liotta.

Infectiously charming Matthew McConaughey plays confirmed bachelor and ladies man Connor Mead, who has left copious amounts of broken hearts in his wake. Jennifer Garner plays Connor's childhood friend and the one who always seemed immune to his charms. On the eve of his brother's wedding, Connor gets a wake-up call from the ghost of his Uncle Wayne (Michael Douglas), who takes him on a comical tour through the ghosts of girlfriends past, present and future.

Special Blu-ray features include additional scenes, a digital copy of the film, "It's All About Connor" (in which the film's leading ladies compare the "real" Matt to his womanizing character), "The Legends, The Lessons and The Ladies" (in which Matt and Michael reveal lessons learned from their characters) and "Recreating the Past, Imagining The Future."
