New Movies on DVD & Blu-Ray: March 9

Based on the best-selling novel of the true story, 'House of Sand and Fog' Academy Award nominee Shohreh Aghdashloo and 'The Passion of the Christ' star Jim Caviezel headline this critically acclaimed film that was banned in Iran. A reverse take on the alien invasion movies of the '50s, the CGI-animated 'Planet 51' finds Dwayne Johnson as Captain Charles "Chuck" Baker, an astronaut who thinks he's the first person to land on a new world, only to quickly learn that the planet is inhabited by little green aliens who distinctly resemble the populace of 1950s America -- and are paranoid of an alien attack! Justin Long, Jessica Biel, Seann William Scott, Gary Oldman and John Cleese all lend their voices to the fun.

George Clooney delivers an Oscar-nominated performance as a gun-for-hire corporate downsizer who crisscrosses the nation racking up frequent flyer miles. Overall, 'Up in the Air' was nominated for six Oscars, including Best Picture.
