Harold & Kumar & NPH's 'Very Christmas' Memories

The Harold & Kumar holy trinity -- John Cho, Kal Penn and of course Neil Patrick Harris – reunite on the big screen for A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas, in theaters now, and Kal, John and NPH are sharing their fond Yuletide memories with ET!

"We lived in a really idyllic small town in New Mexico, so all of my memories are pretty fantastic," says Neil. "Filming the movie in July and having be all Christmas-ed out was a little bit crazy, but it speaks to our world. … Every year it feels like Christmas is coming sooner and sooner."

As for the drawbacks of filming a Christmas movie in the middle of summer, Kal muses, "It's mostly uncomfortable when you have to wear winter jackets and it's 90 degrees outside. That's probably the only real drawback."

"We didn't make a big deal out of Christmas," says John, who recalls that his father tried using a fake Christmas tree for a couple years, then ended up just "arranging Christmas gifts around this poinsettia."

A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas finds the stoner buds having grown apart over the last six years. Spending the holidays with their respective friends, Kumar finds a mysterious package containing "high grade" contents at his door on Christmas Eve. His attempt to redirect it end up with Harold's father-in-law's prized Christmas tree going up in smoke, forcing the pair to scour New York City for the perfect replacement tree.
