Unfortunately, the game didn't end well for the hockey fan.

Justin Bieber and wife Hailey had a date night on Tuesday that included cheering on the 25-year-old singer's beloved Toronto Maple Leafs in game seven of the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The couple showed PDA as they watched the Boston Bruins face off against the Maple Leafs at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. Bieber hails from Ontario, and before the game, even offered up a prayer for the team on Instagram.

"Dear lord please be with Austin Mathews, Mitch Marner and all of the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight as they play game 7 against the Boston bruins..." he wrote.

Unfortunately, the Maple Leafs lost to the Bruins and got eliminated from the playoffs. Still, Bieber at least got hugs from his wife, who sat behind him with her arms around him.

Of course, certain moments from the game appeared to be intense, and the pop star understandably didn't look too happy as Bruins fans cheered on their team around him.

Following the game, Bruins right winger David Pastrnak playfully took a jab at Bieber on Twitter.

"Not today @justinbieber #BostonStrong," he wrote.

On Sunday, Bieber made a surprise appearance during good friend Ariana Grande's performance at Coachella, and he assured fans new music was coming soon. Watch the video below for more:
