Kanye West and Donald Trump are showing some love for one another.

On Wednesday, the 40-year-old rapper gave a shout-out to the President of the United States during yet another Twitter rant, calling him his "brother."

"You don't have to agree with Trump but the mob can't make me not love him," West tweeted. "We are both dragon energy. He is my brother. I love everyone. I don't agree with everything anyone does. That's what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought."

"If your friend jumps off the bridge you don't have to do the same," he added. "Ye being Ye is a fight for you to be you. For people In my life the idea of Trump is pretty much a 50 50 split but I don't tell a Hillary supporter not to support Hillary. I love Hillary too."

He later clarified his tweet after he shared that his wife, Kim Kardashian West, talked to him about it.

"My wife just called me and she wanted me to make this clear to everyone," he wrote. "I don't agree with everything Trump does. I don't agree 100% with anyone but myself."

Still, West continued to tweet about Trump, including sharing a picture of his signed "Make America Great Again" hat and a selfie wearing it.

Trump actually responded to West's tweet calling him his brother, writing, "Thank you Kanye, very cool!"

Of course, this isn't the first time West has expressed his admiration for Trump. The "Famous" rapper met with Trump at Trump Tower in December 2016 -- where he said they discussed "multicultural issues" -- and also previously shared his autographed copy of Trump's 2016's "Person of the Year" Time magazine cover. Trump signed the cover with a message calling West a "great friend."

Still, West received backlash from some fans thanks to his controversial Trump tweets, and Kardashian took to Twitter on Wednesday to defend her husband.

"Now when he spoke out about Trump... Most people (including myself) have very different feelings & opinions about this," the 37-year-old reality star wrote. "But this is HIS opinion.  I believe in people being able to have their own opinions, even if really different from mine. He never said he agrees with his politics."

Kardashian also slammed recent reports that West has been behaving erratically. West was previously hospitalized in November 2016 after canceling the remaining dates of his Saint Pablo tour. A source told ET at the time that West had "a mental breakdown," in large part due to his busy work schedule.

"He’s a free thinker, is that not allowed in America?" Kardashian wrote on Wednesday. "Because some of his ideas differ from yours you have to throw in the mental health card? That’s just not fair. He’s actually out of the sunken place when he’s being himself which is very expressive."

A source told ET on Tuesday that Kardashian and West are as solid as ever.

"She doesn't try to control him," the source said of Kardashian's attitude towards her husband. "She understands him and what he does and why he does it. She's fully supportive of him."
