Kate Hudson is stirring up some friendly competition in Hollywood!
The Almost Famous actress took to Instagram on Thursday to compare her tousled pixie hairstyle to Leonardo DiCaprio's locks from his days as a '90s heartthrob.
"Who wore it better? #hairspiration" she captioned a smiling selfie next to a shot of a 23-year-old DiCaprio from his 1997 premiere of Titanic.
Hudson, 38, debuted her buzzed 'do in July after chopping off her trademark blonde tresses for a starring role in the upcoming film, Sister, written and directed by Sia.
"I'm starting to go through the first awkward stage of growing [it] out," she told Ellen DeGeneres in October of managing her drastic haircut. "It's, like, sticking up. I have to put it down with product, so it's interesting."
The star stated that her boyfriend, musician Danny Fujikawa, likes the look.
"I hope our relationship can transcend hair," she joked, adding that she may consider reviving an infamous '80s hairstyle to help boost her "social media presence."
"I was thinking about bringing the mullet back in," Hudson laughed. "I've been off my Snapchat game, but I think if I had a mullet, I'd be really on my Snapchat game. So, you know, good for my social media presence."
