Kate Upton Accuses Guess Co-Founder Paul Marciano of 'Sexually and Emotionally' Harassing Women

The 25-year-old model made the non-specific accusations in two social media posts on Wednesday.

Kate Upton accused Guess co-founder Paul Marciano of "sexually and emotionally" harassing women.

The 25-year-old model initially tweeted the accusations on Wednesday, lambasting the company for allowing Marciano to stay in his current position within the company, before taking to Instagram with a screengrab of her Twitter message and a new caption.

"It’s disappointing that such an iconic women’s brand @GUESS is still empowering Paul Marciano as their creative director #metoo," she tweeted, using the hashtag that has become the social media rallying cry for those who say they've been subject to sexual harassment or misconduct.

On Instagram, she shared an image of that tweet along with the caption, "He shouldn’t be allowed to use his power in the industry to sexually and emotionally harass women #metoo."

Upton's husband, Houston Astros pitcher Justin Verlander, retweeted her message.

The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover girl did not elaborate with details about her complaint on social media. ET has reached out to representatives of Upton and Guess for comment.

Marciano co-founded Guess with his three brothers. He was CEO of the company until 2015, when he stepped down to become chief creative officer, as Upton mentioned. Upton was the face of Guess in 2010 and 2011, appearing in multiple campaigns.

She has now added her voice to a growing chorus of men and women in the #MeToo and "Time's Up" campaigns, which are designed to shed light on sexual harassment and misconduct and give strength and a voice to victims. The movement grew out of the Harvey Weinstein scandal and has grown far beyond Hollywood to music, politics and even sports, with the high-profile accusations against Dr. Larry Nassar in the USA Gymnastics program. Nassar was recently convicted of seven counts of criminal sexual conduct and faces up to 175 years in prison.
