Kristen Stewart knows how to kick off her heels and have a good time!
The actress was snapped doing what many women dream of but few are brave enough to do while hitting the red carpet at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival in France on Monday evening.
Arriving in the rain with her own private umbrella holder, the 28-year-old star walked up the steps in a sexy metallic silver Chanel Couture dress, while clutching her red-soled heels, presumably Christian Louboutins.
Stewart was attending the premiere of Spike Lee’s BlacKkKlansman, which stars Corey Hawkins and Topher Grace.
The move could have also been a dig at the expectation for women to wear heels at the glitzy festival, which made headlines and spawned the term “heelgate” in 2015 after well-dressed women were denied entrance into a screening due to their flat shoe choice.
Stewart later addressed the saga while talking to The Hollywood Reporter, saying, “If you’re not asking guys to wear heels and a dress, you can not ask me either.”

Gender equality is something Stewart has had a strong presence in promoting at the festival, teaming up with the likes of Cate Blanchett and Ava DuVernay on Saturday for a march to highlight the lack of female directors at the festival throughout the years.
