More than three years after their 2014 split, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are flawlessly co-parenting together, a source tells ET.

On Saturday, Carey and Cannon walked the orange carpet at the 2018 Kids’ Choice Awards with their 6-year-old twins, Monroe and Moroccan, looking happy in matching getups. According to the source, the former couple's top priority remains their children.

“They are both fully committed to being the best parents they can be to the twins,” the source says. “Family is Mariah and Nick's number one priority and they are such great, hands-on parents.”

According to the source, the former spouses are “in a really good place together right now,” and have a friendly relationship with one another.

“They call and text pretty frequently about the kids and it's always direct," the source notes. "They don't go through nannies or assistants. Their appearance at the Kids' Choice Awards is pretty emblematic of their relationship: putting the kids first.”

Perhaps it's helped that both stars appear to have successfully moved on following their divorce. Cannon, 37, welcomed a son, Golden, with ex-girlfriend Brittany Bell last February, and Carey has been dating dancer Bryan Tanaka.

And Carey, who turned 48 on Tuesday, is looking better than ever these days. She also revealed earlier this year that she's back in the studio making new music.

In January, a source told ET that the legendary singer had lost more than 30 pounds since undergoing gastric sleeve surgery last November, and was feeling more confident than ever.

"She's in a very good place with her health and her life," the source said.
