Name: American Idol CHAOS! Show’s Voting Fails for First Time: What It Means for Season 24
Channel: Entertainment Tonight

For the first time in 'American Idol' history, the show was unable to calculate the votes to reveal in real time which 12 of the top 14 contestants would advance in the competition. Host Ryan Seacrest broke the news to America, announcing that the two eliminated contestants will be revealed at the top of the following week's episode. 'American Idol' airs Monday nights on ABC and streams on Hulu.

Taylor Swift faces a new lawsuit over the title of her 2025 album, 'The Life of a Showgirl.' Maren Wade, a Las Vegas showgirl, is suing Swift for trademark infringement, citing her own 'Confessions of a Showgirl' mark. Swift's request to trademark the album title last August was initially rejected by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, specifically due to potential confusion with Wade's mark. Swift ultimately chose to keep the name anyway. Prior to the lawsuit, Wade posted several videos to social media using Swift's music and 'The Life of a Showgirl' hashtags. Swift has yet to comment on the suit, but released a music video for 'Elizabeth Taylor,' which features clips of the song's namesake in various films.
