Inside Jussie Smollett’s Sentencing: 150 Days in Jail, 30 Months of Probation and More

Jussie Smollett has been sentenced after being found guilty on five counts of disorderly conduct three months ago. On Thursday, the former ‘Empire’ star was sentenced to 150 days in jail and 30 months of felony probation. The judge also ordered Smollett to pay $120,000 in restitution to Chicago and a $25,000 fine. During the 2021 trial, prosecutors alleged Smollett helped stage a homophobic and racist attack against him in January of 2019. The actor was found guilty on Dec. 9. Smollett pleaded not guilty.
