Meghan Markle Wins Lawsuit Days Ahead of Tell-All Oprah Interview

8:38 PM PST, Wed Mar 2, 2021
On Tuesday, a U.K. judge ruled that Associated Newspapers, the parent company of 'Mail on Sunday' and the MailOnline website, should pay Meghan Markle's legal fees, $1.87 million, after she won part of her privacy lawsuit against the U.K. publisher. This follows Markle’s successful lawsuit against Associated Newspapers for publishing a private letter she sent to her father, Thomas Markle. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are mere days away from their first sit-down interview following their official exit from the Royal Family. Previews for ‘Oprah With Meghan and Harry: A CBS Primetime Special’ have teased ‘there is no subject that is off limits.’ The special will air March 7 on CBS.
