Robert Durst has died. He was 78. Durst was the controversial subject of the 2015 HBO docuseries ‘The Jinx.’ In September, Durst was convicted of murdering his friend, Susan Berman, and later sentenced to life in prison. On Monday, Chip Lewis, an attorney for Durst, confirmed the real estate heir’s death in a statement to ET. ‘We understand that his death was due to natural causes associated with the litany of medical issues we had repeatedly reported to the court over the last couple of years,’ Lewis said. ‘We will issue no further statements and will not entertain any questions out of respect.’
