Zendaya and John David Washington chatted with ET’s Lauren Zima about their new movie, ‘Malcolm & Marie,’ premiering Feb. 4 on Netflix. Zendaya reacts to the age gap criticism the movie has received, and says it felt good ‘playing someone my own age’ having been mostly known previously for her teenage roles. Washington opens up about being compared to his dad, Denzel Washington, who he calls ‘one of the greats.’ The film’s story revolves around just two characters, and Washington says it took ‘notebooks’ and ‘a lot of prayers’ to memorize all of their dialog!
