FIRST LOOK: Exploding Action in the New 'Battleship' Trailer

We've got a sneak peek of the action flick 'Battleship,' starring Grammy Award-winner Rihanna and "True Blood" star Alexander Skarsgård.

''Battleship,' which is based on the classic naval battle board game by Hasbro, also stars Oscar-nominated actor Liam Neeson, 'Just Go with It' star Brooklyn Decker and "Friday Night Lights" hunk Taylor Kitsch.

The trailer gives a glimpse of some of the spectacular special effects used in the film by Peter Berg, who directed Will Smith in the 2008 action film 'Hancock.'

'Battleship' -- in which an international naval fleet fights in the seas, skies and on land in a bid to save the planet from a superior force -- shoots its way into theaters in summer 2012.
