Although she arrived dressed to the nines with a spiffed-up hubby by her side at last night's I Don't Know How She Does It premiere, Sarah Jessica Parker maintains that just like her character in the film, the glamorous night out is a balancing act of work and play.
"I wouldn't say that it's a date night" said Parker, laughing away the notion the outing was in any way romantic. "He was very nice to come tonight, but it's not as if we're spending a lot of quality time together."
Kevin Jonas and wife Danielle also took advantage of the premiere to share some quality time together. "We try to get out a lot and have date nights," Kevin confided adding that the attempts don't always go as planned. "The last date night we had got ransacked by my brother. We made a reservation at the same restaurant at the same time, but we didn't know about it."
Mad Men's Christina Hendricks, who also stars in the new film, walked the carpet husband-free advising women who take on too much to approach life "moment to moment, day to day." Hendricks says she follows the mantra for her everyday life with great success. "I try not to get overwhelmed with what's happening at the next moment, and really enjoy where I'm at at the time."
Based on the bestselling book by Allison Pearson, I Don't Know How She Does It finds Sarah as Kate Reddy, a Boston-based working mother trying desperately to juggle marriage, children, and a high-stress job. Add new career opportunities and new romantic temptations to the mix, and Kate finds herself performing a high-wire balancing act. Greg Kinnear, Pierce Brosnan, Olivia Munn, and Christina Hendricks star.
I Don't Know How She Does It arrives in theaters September 16.
