Animation Secrets of 'Puss in Boots'

For any animated movie, the film's performances are just as much the animator's responsibility as the actors' themselves.

Puss in Boots supervising animator Olivier Staphylas was a silent collaborator with all the stars (Anotonio Banderas, Salma Hayek, Zach Galiafinakis, Billy Bob Thornton and Amy Sedaris), bringing their performances to life in 3D animation.

"Three seconds of movement takes one week," said Olivier, illustrating how much work went into the making of the film even after all the voices were recorded.
