"I would be selfish if I couldn't acknowledge that this has been a really great year," said Charlize with a smile. "I feel like I'm kind of floating on a giant cloud. There's room for everybody. Come and join me!"

In addition to Prometheus and her critically acclaimed Young Adult, Charlize also has Snow White and the Huntsman coming out this weekend, and of course she recently expanded her family with the addition of adopted son Jackson. So, where was the tyke during the premiere? "He's with his grandma," said Charlize.

In theaters June 8, Prometheus follows a team of explorers who discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe.

"Obviously there's a fan base out there already, and a new one to grab, so it's very exciting," said Fassbender of the Alien prequel, while Noomi said of fan expectation, "I think they will get everything they were hoping for."
