Emma & Andrew Spin New 'Spider-Man' Tales

The Amazing Spider-Man swings into theaters July 3, and co-stars/off-screen loves Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone are talking about everything from the "revealing" nature of that Spidey suit to killer workouts and their mutual appreciation as thespians.

"It's pretty stretchy and flexible and it's fine -- um, it's exposing, it's revealing as hell, but what can you do about that?" says Andrew about the brand-new Spider-Man suit on display in the new movie. As for his crazy workout required to make the suit look good, he jokes, "I say I enjoy it -- at the time I think I threatened to kill [my trainer]."

Andrew takes over the web-slinging franchise as outcast high schooler Peter Parker, who like most teens is just trying to figure out just who he is and how to move forward with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (played by Emma). When Peter's quest to understand his parents' disappearance leads him to the Oscorp lab of his father's former partner, Dr. Curt Connors (Rhys Ifans), Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' deadly alter-ego, The Lizard.

Spider-Man is "incredible wish-fulfillment and an underdog story is the best," says Emma, who first met Andrew during their audition for the big-budget reboot: "He's one of my favorite actors, so I think that he deserves everything that's coming his way. I believe he's pretty limitless."

Likewise, Andrew has only amazing things to say about his co-star, telling ET, "She's just the sun, and she's got such depth, she can do anything, she's magic. I don't know how she does it."
