Less Than Zero author Bret Easton Ellis is returning to young, rich L.A. and its steamy underbelly with The Canyons, and this time Lindsay Lohan and cross-over adult film star James Deen are along for the tawdry ride… Watch the amusing, retro trailer!
Pics: Lindsay Lohan's 'Liz & Dick' Birthday Party
Presented as a film "from pen of twitter-obsessed author Bret Easton Ellis" and "directed by the never-nominated director Paul Schrader," The Canyons trailer shows Lindsay as "A sensuous woman! Torn between two loves!" while Deen is introduced as "a potent new screen personality."
"Coming soon to an Internet server of your choice" in Spring of 2013, The Canyons casts Lindsay as Tara, an aspiring actress dating Christian (played by Deen), a young L.A. trust-fund dude with casual rich-kid ties to moviemaking. She's now just Christian's bored play thing while he finances a horror film simply to keep his dad off his back about doing something with his life.

But when Christian's assistant Gina (Amanda Brooks) pushes for her struggling actor boyfriend Ryan (Nolan Funk) to land the lead in the movie, old wounds are ripped open and passions are reignited since Ryan and Tara were secretly a couple three years ago. Add the cruel, combustible mind games of dangerous control-freak Christian, and soon passions escalate into an act of bloody violence…
Of course, the black-and-white trailer promises that the film is presented in Cinemascope and Technicolor. Go figure…
