In theaters April 19, the new movie from the director of TRON: Legacy finds Tom as one of the last few drone repairmen stationed on Earth, part of a massive operation to extract vital resources after decades of war. Patrolling the skies, his soaring existence is brought crashing down when he rescues a beautiful stranger from a downed spacecraft – and her arrival triggers a chain of events that forces him to question everything he knows.

Part I Am Legend and part WALL-E (a dark take on that concept, for sure) from the looks of things, Oblivion is also from the producers of Rise of the Planet of the Apes, who seem to know a thing or two about packing the film with awe-inspiring American iconography from the human race -- partially destroyed -- including the Pentagon, Washington Monument, Brooklyn Bridge and Statue of Liberty.
