'G.I. Joe' Debuts on Top at Box Office
G.I. Joe: Retaliation found little resistance at the weekend box office, shooting to the top of the charts for its debut.
The action flick (starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Channing Tatum and Bruce Willis) pulled in $41.2 million, easily besting last week's champion, The Croods ($26.5 million).
Tyler Perry's Temptation opened in third position, earning $22.3 million, while Olympus Has Fallen dropped to fourth place with $14 million.
The Host, adapted from Twilight author Stephenie Meyer's novel, faced a mediocre reception, debuting in sixth place with $11 million -- just behind Oz the Great and Powerful ($11.6 million).
