A New 'Star Wars' Movie Every Summer

Get ready for a new movie-going tradition… Starting in 2015, every summer will be a Star Wars summer, as Walt Disney Pictures and Lucasfilm announced today at CinemaCon in Las Vegas that not only will Star Wars: Episode VII arrive in the summer of 2015, but every subsequent summer season will see the release of a new Star Wars movie.

The annual releases will alternate between the main episodes of the new trilogy (of which J.J. Abrams is directing the first installment) and the previously announced standalone films, which could potentially feature solo adventures of characters ranging from Yoda and Boba Fett to a young Han Solo.
