Emma's 'Beautiful Creatures' Dark Side Explained

The star-studded cast of Beautiful Creatures, the film adaptation of the best-selling novel of the same name by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl, discusses Emma Thompson's role as Serafine in this exclusive clip from the DVD out tomorrow!

The romantic fantasy film tells the story of Ethan and Lena, who fall in love and together uncover dark secrets about their families and their town.

"Serafine is Lena's mother, she is a dark caster, very powerful," Jeremy Irons, who plays Macon Ravenwood, says. "She has the ability of getting inside all the characters."

"She [Thompson] has the most fun part because she really gets to inhabit two characters [Mrs. Lincoln/Serafine]," Emmy Rossum, who plays Ridley Duchannes, adds.
